Health and Wellness Adviser
Temporary position lasting approximately 13 months

Reporting to the manager - Labour Relations, Health and Wellness, the Health and Wellness adviser is responsible for developing, applying and maintaining programmes to promote health and wellness at work and prevent occupational accidents, for the entire organization.
- You will advise the various interveners within the organization with respect to the implementation and follow-up of prevention programmes to ensure the health and safety of Héma-Québec personnel under all circumstances and will ensure that the standards required under various laws and the certification requirements that apply to the organization are respected;
- You will be responsible for developing and implementing awareness-raising and health promotion campaigns and for following up on all related files for the entire organization, for the facilities in both Montréal and Québec;
- You will coordinate the activities of the various occupational health and safety committees as well as daily occupational health and safety activities with respect to the organization’s nine (9) collective agreements (Montréal and Québec) and you will sit on the institutional laboratory biosafety committee.
You have a university degree in occupational health and safety, industrial relations, human resource management or the equivalent. You have 1 to 3 years of pertinent experience in the management of disability prevention programmes. A college degree combined with experience in disability management will also be considered. You know the Act respecting industrial accidents and occupational diseases, have an acute sense of communication, both orally and in writing, and strong interpersonal skills. You have a capacity to analyze and summarize and an understanding of the issues associated with unionized and non-unionized environments. You are autonomous, have good organizational skills, take the initiative and are able to manage several files simultaneously. The position requires occasional travel in Québec.
