Mobile Blood Drive Supervisor

Reporting to the manager - Mobile Blood Drives, you supervise, coordinate and control activities related to the operation of blood drive activities while ensuring a safe and productive environment in keeping with Héma-Québec’s regulatory and administrative framework. You supervise the blood drive employees as well as the volunteers and members of the organizing committees working on the blood drive sites.
More specifically, you make sure that the employees respect the procedures while working so as to provide a safe product at all times. You coordinate the blood drive and see that it proceeds appropriately so as to minimize waiting time and provide appropriate customer service. Finally, you prepare reports, perform various administrative duties and ensure that good labour relations are maintained.
You have a diploma of college studies or university degree and at least three years of pertinent experience in personnel management. Experience in a regulated and unionized environment is necessary and experience in the health sector is an asset. You have good interpersonal skills and are known for your ability to effectively support and coach a work team. Since the blood drives take place during the day and at night, as well as at various locations throughout the greater metropolitan area, you are available to work schedules that vary, for an average of 35 hours per week, spread over three or four work days. You will depart for the blood drives from our facilities in Saint-Laurent and Brossard. Moreover, you must be available to travel occasionally for periods lasting two or three days. Bilingualism (French and English) is necessary.
