Reporting to the supervisor - Human Tissue Procurement, you will be responsible for activities pertaining to the evaluation of potential donors as well as the collection of certain tissues intended for transplants. You will be responsible for collecting eye tissues in keeping with the regulations in effect.
More specifically, you will travel to the hospitals in the Montréal region and surrounding areas after being called by the coordinator on duty. You will evaluate the eligibility of the donor by reviewing the hospital's file, making a physical examination of the donor, calculating the plasma dilution and collecting blood. Finally, you will collect the human tissue in keeping with the procedure in effect and ensure transportation.
You have training in the health field and 1 to 3 years of pertinent experience. You are independent, available and have a car. You are autonomous and very responsible. Finally, you are available to work rotating shifts days, evenings and nights on a weekly basis (from Monday through Friday) depending on the shifts, as well as one weekend out of two on 12-hour shifts (midnight to noon or noon to midnight, depending on departmental needs). Functional English is required.
