Reporting to the supervisor – Procurement of Human Tissues, the Human Tissue Auxiliary Technologist will ensure external service during collection activities. You will store the materials and assemble the kits of sterile instruments and bins of disposable material for the collection. You will also take part in preparing the donor for the collection, handle the donor qualification activities and document information concerning the collection. You will collect human tissues in various hospitals. The auxiliary technologist will respect good manufacturing processes (GMP) and standard operating procedures (SOP). Finally, you will perform all other related tasks that your supervisor may assign.


You have a diploma of professional or college studies in the health field. A diploma in a field other than health combined with pertinent experience in a related field that is considered permanent may be adequate. You have a good sense of observation, are painstaking and rigorous, and are known for your team spirit. You are familiar with and apply good asepsis practises. Finally, you are available to work rotating shifts days, evenings and nights on a weekly basis (from Monday through Friday) depending on the shifts, as well as one weekend out of two on 12-hour shifts (midnight to noon or noon to midnight, depending on departmental needs). Functional English is required.
