Reporting to the supervisor - Human Tissue Procurement, the auxiliary human tissues technologist will collect human tissues in various hospitals in the Montréal region. You will prepare the material using aseptic techniques and document the information pertaining to the collection or the processing. You will take part in preparing the donor for the collection, handle the donor qualification activities and document information concerning the collection. Finally, when you are assigned internally, you will store the materials and assemble the kits of sterile instruments and bins of disposable material for the collections.


You have a diploma of professional or college studies in the health field as well as significant experience in the field. You are capable of demonstrating empathy and remaining calm in difficult situations. You have a good sense of observation, are painstaking and rigorous, and are recognized for your excellent team spirit. You are familiar with and apply good aseptic practises. Finally, you are available to work rotating shifts, days, evenings and nights, on a weekly basis (from Monday through Friday) depending on the shifts, as well as one weekend out of two depending on departmental needs. Functional English is required.
