Volunteers are at the very heart of maintaining Québec’s collective blood reserve at an optimal level. At Héma-Québec, the power of volunteering results in the organization of more than 3,000 blood drives annually throughout the province, an average of 1.2 million calls to donors each year and welcoming almost 300,000 donors at blood donor clinics, in addition to stem cell and human tissue donations.
