Research Chair on the Social Aspects of Blood Donation

The Research Chair on the Social Aspects of Blood Donation was established in January 2009, following the signing of an agreement between Héma-Québec and the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS). Funded by the Héma-Québec Foundation and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Chair aims to improve the understanding of the various social dynamics involved in blood donation.

The chairholder is Johanne Charbonneau, a professor with the INRS – Centre Urbanisation Culture Société.
