Medical affairs
The employees in this sector are divided into two teams, one specializing in haematology and the other in microbiology. They offer hospitals consulting services in transfusion medicine.
The microbiology team makes sure that the eligibility criteria, to which the donors are subjected, provide optimal protection for donors and recipients. It is interested in the pathogens that can be found in blood and in detecting them. This team is also responsible for donor reactions, transfusion reactions experienced by recipients, and blood product recalls.
