450 donors expected per week Thanks to donors, GLOBULE is a resounding success
Saint-Laurent, May 1, 2002 - In the past six months, close to 10,000 blood donors have come to roll up their sleeves at Globule, the new blood donor centre located at the Place Versailles shopping mall. Many first-time donors have visited Globule since it opened on October 29. The verdict is unanimous: this new blood clinic concept has been a great success.
In keeping with HÉMA-QUÉBEC's goal to be close to the public, provide an adequate supply of blood and blood products, and offer services that are tailored to the needs of Quebeckers, the Globule concept represents a complete rethinking of the clinic layout that makes it easier than ever to give blood.
Globule offers an inviting and accessible location that is conveniently open seven days a week. Donors can give blood or platelets.
The Globule blood donor centre is located in the Place Versailles shopping mall at 7275 Sherbrooke Street East, conveniently located near Highway 25 which links to the Lafontaine Tunnel. Globule can also be reached by bus and Métro (Radisson station). Ample free parking is available.
Globule is open seven days a week, at the following times:
- Mondays to Wednesdays, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Thursdays and Fridays, from 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM
- Saturdays, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sundays, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
