New Members on Héma-Québec’s Board of Directors

Montréal, June 17, 2013 – The Chair of Héma-Québec’s Board of Directors, Ms. Martine Carré, is pleased to announce the nomination of three new members to Héma-Québec’s Board. The Government of Québec has appointed Ms. Christine Beaubien, Ms. Lucie Letendre and Ms. Monique Laliberté.

Ms. Christine Beaubien is a corporate director, President of the Groupe BSC and an active member of Anges Québec, a network of private investors that identifies, finances and supports innovative Québec firms with a strong potential. She comes from the private sector and was selected from among the individuals proposed by the business sector to replace Mr. André Légaré, who had held that position since 2009.

Ms. Lucie Letendre is the General Manager of the Centre de santé et de services sociaux de Trois-Rivières. She was selected from among the individuals recommended by the Association québécoise d’établissements de santé et de services sociaux.

Ms. Monique Laliberté is the Investment Manager, Fund Management, Private Investments, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. She was selected from among the individuals recommended by the product donors and the blood drive volunteers to replace Ms. Hélène Darby who had held the position since 2003.

“These three women will bring their extensive experience in business and health to the board, enriching the discussions during board meetings. As Chair, I am proud to be able to count on a strong feminine presence within the Board of Directors. On behalf of all of the Board members, I extend them an enthusiastic welcome. I would also like to thank Mr. André Légaré and Ms. Hélène Darby, who worked so ardently as members of the Board of Directors over several years,” said Martine Carré.
