Héma-Québec Collective Agreements Renewed: Agreement in Principle between Héma-Québec and the APTS

Montréal, November 18, 2022 – Héma-Québec announced that an agreement in principle had been reached the previous evening with the APTS – Alliance du personnel professionnel et technique de la santé et des services sociaux. The agreement will be put before the members at a general meeting on November 27. This agreement in principle is the culmination of hard work by both parties, labour and management, and stems from their commitment to good faith negotiations.

Out of respect for the union approval process, Héma-Québec will not share any information about the agreement in principle until final approval from the members.

Out of the nine union certifications at Héma-Québec, six of them are subject to an agreement in principle. Héma-Québec is still in the bargaining process with three of the unions:

  • The Syndicat des technicien.nes de laboratoire de Héma-Québec (CSN)
  • The Syndicat des infirmières et infirmières auxiliaires de Héma-Québec (CSN)
  • The Syndicat du personnel infirmier d’Héma-Québec (CSQ)

Héma-Québec remains fully committed to renewing the collective agreements at a reasonable cost to taxpayers while providing employees with working conditions adapted to today’s reality. “I am pleased with the work done by the teams that made this agreement in principle possible, and I thank them for that. I am confident we will achieve similar outcomes with the other groups still in the bargaining process,” said Ms. Nathalie Fagnan, President and CEO of Héma-Québec.
