Benoit Morin Named President and Chief Executive Officer of Héma-Québec
Montréal, May 10, 2018–Martine Carré, Chair of the Board of Directors of Héma-Québec, is pleased to announce the appointment of Benoit Morin as President and Chief Executive Officer of Héma-Québec. Mr. Morin will officially assume his duties on June 4.

His experience fits perfectly with Héma-Québec’s vision, which is based on a partnership with the health system. We are convinced that he will work toward the successful growth of our organization in keeping with Héma-Québec’s vital mission to contribute to the health of thousands of Quebecers.”
Benoit Morin has extensive management training and holds an executive MBA from Queen’s University. He also has a Ph. D. in health ethics and law from the University of Toronto and has worked in senior positions in the healthcare field and academia for more than 20 years.
Before joining Héma-Québec, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Montréal West Island Integrated University Health and Social Services Centre.
Mr. Morin worked several years at the University of Toronto, where he helped establish the Toronto University Health Network. Following this, he was part of the founding team of the Canadian Institutes for Health Research.
His expertise and achievements cover many aspects of management, especially strategic positioning, organizational mobilization and change management.

Héma-Québec’s mission is to efficiently meet the needs of the Québec population for quality blood and other biological products of human origin.
Héma-Québec encompasses 1,300 employees and nearly 240,000 blood, stem cell, breast milk and human tissue donors, in addition to thousands of blood drive volunteers. Each year, Héma-Québec delivers some 750,000 human biological products to Québec hospitals to meet the needs of patients.
