Registration (creating an account)

The app sent you a validation email. If the latter is not in your inbox, check your spam folder. Once you have located the validation email, click the link it contains to validate your email address.

Check if the validation email ended up in your spam folder. Also make sure you did not click on the “unsubscribe me” button during an earlier email invitation.

The link expires after 24 hours. Once the link has expired, you must generate a new validation message from the app.

Make sure you provided your donor number, date of birth and postal code, because this information is essential for linking your user account with your donor record.

If you provided this information and still can't associate your user account with your donor record, let us validate with you the information provided. Since it is in the form of computer data, a simple character could be enough to prevent the association: 1 800 847-2525.

The donor number is not required to make the first appointment. However, if you wish to link your donor record to your app user account, you must add your donor number along with your date of birth and postal code.

By linking your donor record and your user account, you can benefit from all the functions provided by the app, such as consulting your donation history, accessing your virtual card, etc.

No, you can use the email address you prefer. Note that this email address will be your username.

Yes, you can book several appointments using the app, but only one at a time and for a 16-week period only.

To make a series of appointments on a regular basis, we ask that you call 1-800-343-7264 or make them directly with an agent at the collection centre of your choice.

There may be several reasons for this. The required interval between donations does not allow for the type of donation selected, there is an active restriction on your record, the chosen centre is closed, or the desired time slot is not available.

General information

Yes, up to eight weeks of blood drives are accessible via JeDonne.

The app is offered in French and in English.

The donor’s choice of preferred language is determined at the blood drive during your first donation, based on your preferences. You can change the display language of the app at any time by going to the upper right of the screen and selecting FR or EN.

In the short term, the virtual card will not replace the physical card. However, if your photo appears in your donor record at Héma-Québec, the virtual card will be accepted at all our blood donor sites. If not, you must identify yourself by providing photo ID (e.g., health insurance card, driver’s licence, passport).

Yes, the bar code associated with your donor number will be generated in the mobile app between 24 and 72 hours after your donation, whereas the laminated card will be sent to you within about 6 weeks.

You can book appointments for donating blood, plasma and platelets using the app.

Your account on the JE DONNE app is a personal account directly linked to your donor record, so it's impossible to make an appointment for another person.
